LA’s craft distillery scene has a new addition with Hollywood’s latest distillery – aptly named the Hollywood Distillery – which is now open, allowing visitors to get a firsthand look at the distilling process and sample some of their signature spirits, including single-barrel bourbon, rye whiskey, gin, and vodka.

Here's What’s Happening at the Hollywood Distillery
The Hollywood Distillery has been producing spirits since 2016, but is now officially welcoming the public to experience its unique offerings and eye-catching environs.
In true Tinseltown fashion, the distillery celebrated its grand opening with a touch of the theatrical in the form of a Murder Mystery Night hosted by Dainty Dames Events, the perfect way to take advantage of the venue’s classic Hollywood-inspired decor.
It was also the perfect way to shine a spotlight on what makes the Hollywood Distillery stand out from other watering holes in the LA area; in addition to being a charmingly nostalgic spot to sip on some top-tier spirits, it’s also an ideal space to host immersive events and parties.
What Makes the Hollywood Distillery So Special?
While Los Angeles has more than its share of distilleries, this is the first distillery in Hollywood proper. The Hollywood Distillery has made it its mission to produce the highest quality spirits using locally sourced ingredients.
Currently, their product lineup includes Oasis Vodka, Zanja-Madre Rye Whiskey, Zanja-Madre Bourbon Whiskey, and Nopalera Gin, all of which are made on-site.
Though the Hollywood Distillery has only been around for less than a decade, its spirits have already garnered considerable recognition. Its first product, Oasis Vodka, won Double Gold at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and also won awards for Best in Style and Best Domestic Vodka.
But the folks at the Hollywood Distillery are going a step further in establishing themselves as LA’s spirit specialists, as there’s a Hollywood Distillery Academy in the works, in which participants can learn the crafts of mixology and distilling. However, the Academy has yet to open, so check their website regularly for updates.
Venue Details
Visitors can sign up for a tasting and tour experience where they’ll receive an inside look at how the distillery’s spirits are crafted while hearing fascinating stories about Hollywood’s history, concluding with a guided sampling of their spirits.
This experience is $30 per person (plus tax), lasts about one hour, and can fit up to 20 people.
