The World's Best Night Markets

The 626 Night Market was founded in 2012, modeled after Asia’s famous night bazaars and named after Southern California’s 626 area code. It has since grown into the largest night market in the United States, attracting tens of thousands of visitors per weekend. Guests flock for everything from sizzling street food and handmade art to live performances and carnival games.

According to a recent ranking of global night markets, 626 Night Market placed ninth in a list of the world’s top 10 night markets, sharing the stage with iconic destinations from Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia. The ranking system was based on safety at night, monthly search volume, TikTok post volume and average ratings from visitors.

This year, the market will host four weekends, aiming to “provide a space where Asian Americans and visitors of all backgrounds can connect, explore, and immerse themselves in Asian cultural traditions,” according to the 626 Night Market website.
