"Step Into Your Highlight Reel"
LA Today introduced a new way to access the hottest, next-level entertainment events in Los Angeles. Highlight Reel Events is an event series where film, TV, music, and other entertainment industries merge together for unforgettable experiences. Offering a place to "step into your highlight reel," the first event, presented by LA Today, celebrated the 2024 Academy Awards with the Oscars Pre-Party Experience.

Oscars Pre-Party Experience
Taking place on the 21st floor of the Elevate Lounge rooftop in Downtown Los Angeles, the event provided over 500+ guests with stunning panoramic views of the Los Angeles city skylines. Making it the perfect place for memorable connections and celebrating awards season in style.
The special event showcased a red carpet bustling with attendees from the film, television, music, and broader entertainment industry sectors, highlighting the night's significance.
Special Guest DJ Blaqkout led the event with some incredible mixes, followed by DJ Joshwayy and DJ Koda, providing an energetic night for the guests to dance the night away.
Diliara (Opera & Pop Star) performed an incredible vocal cover of the Oscar nominated song “What Was I Made For” from the Barbie movie. The evening also included a live guitar performance from professional guitarist Kurt Szul with DJ Blaqkout's dance mix.
Finally, guests were treated to a special surprise visit from the one and only Michael Jackson; performing medley's of his biggest hits such as Billie Jean and Smooth Criminal.
The amazing experience, sponsored by Casa Del Sol Tequila, allowed guests the opportunity to taste Casa Del Sol's premium tequila with a free VIP tasting experience at the event. They also provided a signature drink menu, featuring movie-inspired drinks such as the Atomic Martini, Malibu Barbie Margarita, and the Golden Paloma.
Cookie Pop and Candy Pop’s popcorn snacks were a huge hit with the guests throughout the night, and the delicious snack revolution is now available at Pavilions for anyone looking to taste the treats.
On top of the incredible red carpet setup provided by Step and Repeat Production, there was also a Barbie-themed photo experience, supplied by Reyes Wood Designs, where guests posed and embraced their inner Barbie-selves in the iconic Barbie box. Elevate Lounge provided a 360-degree photo opportunity to capture our beautiful guests with the panoramic LA city skyline.
The Oscars Pre-Party Experience couldn’t have been successful without our sponsors and VIP hosts. Dr. Juventas Med Spa, an aesthetics and anti-aging Med Spa located in Beverly Hills, provided non-invasive treatments for those looking to beautify themselves and make themselves ready for the red-carpet gala.
Teo, a nutrition and fitness expert, as well as a VIP of Promotions at Elevate Lounge, helped the event come together with LA Today, hosting an incredible experience for the guests.
Music artist, songwriter, and actress Shay Bella brought together an amazing group that lit up the nightclub and dance floor with their positive energy and spirit.
