Palisades Village Is Open Again, and Alphabet Bar & Grill Is Its Anchor
Caruso's center returned August 15, nineteen months after the fires, with a new h.wood Group restaurant from chef Tim Hollingsworth.

Caruso's Palisades Village reopened on Saturday, August 15, bringing the Pacific Palisades center back nineteen months after the January 2025 fires. The property returned 99 percent leased, with more than 40 boutiques and dining venues and nearly one third of them new. Rick Caruso has described the return as a comeback story for the history books and a love letter to L.A.
Anchoring the food side is Alphabet Bar & Grill, a new restaurant from the h.wood Group and chef Tim Hollingsworth. The property calls it the h.wood Group's version of a neighborhood gathering place, rooted in classic Americana. The menu centers on elevated comfort food, rotisserie chicken, local produce and timeless cocktails, with interiors by Adean Studios. The name comes from the neighborhood's historic Alphabet Streets.
Hollingsworth won the James Beard Foundation's Rising Star Chef of the Year award in 2010 while chef de cuisine at The French Laundry. He previously ran Otium in downtown Los Angeles, which closed in 2024.
The restaurant occupies the former Hank's space, a room Rick Caruso named for his father, Henry "Hank" Caruso.
