Aviator Nation Dreamland Turned a Historic Malibu Roadhouse Into a Live Music Venue
The PCH restaurant, bar and stage sits in the former Crazy Horse Saloon, with Phantom Planet and The Calling on the September calendar.
Aviator Nation Dreamland is a music venue, restaurant and bar at 22969 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, opened in 2022 by Aviator Nation founder Paige Mycoskie. According to a Hollywood Reporter profile republished on Aviator Nation's site, the building was originally the Malibu Inn and later the Crazy Horse Saloon, a 1970s and 1980s venue part-owned by Neil Young that hosted The Doors, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and the Beach Boys.
The 14,000-square-foot space features wood-paneled walls, velvet seating, psychedelic murals, retro arcade games, an attached retail store and ocean views toward Surfrider Beach. Dreamland serves lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday, with weekend hours beginning at 10 a.m., and hosts the Composers Breakfast Club, a weekly composers-and-creatives meetup, on Monday mornings.
Upcoming ticketed shows include Phantom Planet with Arkells on September 18, The Calling on September 25 and Allah-Las on October 24, sold through Tixr as general admission standing room or VIP tables; the listed shows are 21 and over.
