The Black Lagoon has surfaced on Melrose Avenue. Through Sunday, November 1, 2026, Melrose Umbrella Co is hosting the touring Halloween cocktail pop-up, which describes itself as a darkly lit witch's apothecary surrounded by coffins and gravestones, with cocktails created by award-winning bartenders Kelsey Ramage and Erin Hayes. Los Angeles is one of 34 cities across the US and Canada on the 2026 tour.

The pop-up's new character this year is Abyssa the Octo-Witch, who appears on a 21-ounce ceramic mug produced by Tiki Farm ($45) in the pop-up's online shop. The host bar brings its own atmosphere: an 1890s fireplace, a subway-tile ceiling and a 1920s apothecary cabinet as the back bar. There is no ticketed entry; guests order from the menu, and tables can be reserved through Resy.

Costumes are optional, and the pop-up notes that many guests dress up, especially around Halloween.
