Costco Delivery Goes Nationwide on DoorDash and Uber Eats
Both apps announced Costco delivery expansions the same week, with a Costco membership required to order.
Costco shoppers can now order from their warehouse on both DoorDash and Uber Eats. Uber announced on September 16 that Costco delivery on Uber Eats has expanded nationwide to nearly 600 locations in 47 states, up from 17 states, with on-demand and scheduled delivery.
DoorDash followed on September 17, launching same-day delivery from all U.S. Costco warehouses with more than 4,000 products including groceries, household essentials, electronics, seasonal items and Kirkland Signature goods.
An active Costco membership is required on both platforms and can be linked in the app; Uber Eats also sells memberships in-app for a limited time, while DoorDash directs new members to Costco.com. Uber is offering Costco members 50 percent off an Uber One membership for the first year; Uber One members pay no Uber fees on eligible grocery and retail orders over $60 at select stores.
