The inaugural Ocean Way Festival takes over the beach between the Santa Monica Pier and Bay Street on September 26 and 27. Goldenvoice produces it, supported by the City of Santa Monica, which selected the promoter through a competitive process.

The announced lineup runs 22 acts. The Killers and Olivia Dean are billed as headliners alongside Jack White, Khruangbin and Sublime, plus Alvvays, Durand Jones & The Indications, Hiatus Kaiyote, Poolside, SG Lewis, DJ Harvey, BLOND:ISH, Carlita, Coco & Breezy, Good Neighbours, Hot Chip DJs and others across a main stage and a second stage. Gates open at noon both days, running to 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Sunday.

Two-day general admission starts at $399 and two-day Premium Pit at $749, with single-day passes and payment plans available. The festival is all ages.

One logistical choice defines the weekend. In the City's own words there is no on-site parking by design, and beach lots 1S through 5S close to the public, routing attendees to the Metro E Line, Big Blue Bus, shuttles and bike valet.
