Puppy Sphere opened at 2400 Main Street in Santa Monica on July 18, adding to the city's small but growing puppy yoga scene. The offering is a 75-minute Wellness Puppy Yoga session, structured as 45 minutes of guided yoga followed by 30 minutes of unstructured time with the puppies. Co-founder Francesca Albo describes that split as the result of considerable trial and error.

Classes run on weekends through August and September. Saturday slots land at roughly 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., and Sunday slots at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Some sessions are already sold out. Tickets run $55 early bird and $65 regular, mats are provided, and every attendee including supervising adults needs a ticket.

For its first month the studio directed one dollar from each ticket to local animal rescues. The company states its puppies come from trusted, reputable breeders and rescues, and that it does not sell puppies directly.
