Vidiots Is Hiding 70,000 Rentable Movies Inside an Eagle Rock Theater
The nonprofit's video store inside the Eagle Theatre rents DVDs, Blu-rays and 4K discs from $2, and it is not LA's only physical-media holdout.

Vidiots, the nonprofit cinema and video store inside the Eagle Theatre in Eagle Rock, carries a rental library of more than 70,000 titles on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K. Non-members can rent for $3 for five days, while members pay $2 for seven days with no late fees; annual memberships start at $100, and the top Xtreme tier ($500) includes free rentals all year, two at a time.
The building also houses a working movie theater and bar. Los Angeles has a handful of other physical-media holdouts: Be Kind Video on Magnolia Blvd in Burbank rents and sells VHS, DVD, Blu-ray and 4K, with catalog titles at $3 for five nights; Vidéothèque at 4102 N Figueroa St offers free membership with an ID and major credit card; and Whammy!
Analog Media, now at 1200 N Alvarado St in Echo Park, sells and trades VHS and hosts screenings.
