Paramount completed its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, creating a combined company named Skydance, whose Class B shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange that day under the ticker SKYD. The same day, the Warner Bros. water tower on the Burbank studio lot was updated with new lettering reading "A Skydance Corporation" beneath the Warner Bros. shield, which remains.

In a Day 1 letter, Chairman and CEO David Ellison and Co-CEO Ynon Kreiz wrote that Paramount and Warner Bros. "each have a distinct identity and extraordinary legacy that deserves to stand on its own," that "both studios will continue to operate under their own names," and that audiences "will still see the Paramount mountain and the Warner Bros. shield before the films and shows they love." According to Warner Bros., the tower was built in 1927, stands 100 feet tall, holds a 100,000-gallon tank that no longer holds water, was moved from beside the studio fire department after the 1933 Long Beach earthquake, and is a designated historical landmark.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood continues to operate daily.
