Best Places to Shop in LA (By Area)

Your ultimate shopping experience in Los Angeles awaits. Here is our list of the best places to shop in LA (by area).

The short answer

For iconic LA shopping, start with Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills or The Grove. For something more local, the Fashion District and neighborhood flea markets like the Rose Bowl Flea Market are LA staples. This guide covers 85 shopping destinations across the region, organized by area.

Los Angeles County is enormous, and so is its shopping scene, from Rodeo Drive boutiques to sprawling outlet malls to only-in-LA flea markets and ethnic-enclave shopping strips. This guide covers 85 shopping destinations across Central LA, the Westside, the Gateway Cities, the San Fernando Valley, the South Bay, the San Gabriel Valley, and the Antelope and Santa Clarita Valleys, rechecked in July 2026.

A handful of entries carry notes worth reading before you go: Palisades Village has been closed since the January 2025 Palisades Fire and is expected to reopen around August 2026, and a few venues have rebranded or relocated since this guide was first published.

A few more worth knowing

  • Five venues from earlier versions of this guide were cut. Del Monte Shopping Center and Broadway Plaza are actually in Monterey and Walnut Creek, not LA. One Westside is no longer a shopping center (the former Westside Pavilion is now a UCLA research campus). Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza is under active redevelopment with its anchors gone. And "The Lakes Mall" as listed didn't correspond to a real shopping center at its stated address.
  • A few venues have rebranded. Malibu Park at Cross Creek is now The Park at Cross Creek, and Villa Marina Marketplace Mall now goes by Marina Marketplace, same address and operator both times.
