Green SM Brings All-Electric Rides to Los Angeles, Its First US City
Every car is an electric VinFast VF 8 driven by a Green SM employee, and new riders get 70% off through November.
Green SM, the all-electric ride-hailing service founded in Vietnam in 2023, launched in Los Angeles on October 13, 2026, with a daytime event at The Majestic Downtown. Los Angeles is the company's first US city and its ninth market worldwide.
There is no gas option. Every car in the LA fleet is a 100% electric VinFast VF 8 SUV that Green SM manages itself, and the drivers are Green SM employees, selected and professionally trained. Service currently covers West LA. Riders can book in the Green SM app, call customer service, or hail a car on the street.
