10 Best Cappuccinos in Los Angeles (Ranked)
The short answer

Urth Caffé in Beverly Hills and Caffe Luxxe in Santa Monica are LA's most consistent cappuccino destinations, with Go Get Em Tiger and Cognoscenti Coffee right behind for serious espresso. Three spots from the old version of this list have closed or relocated since — see below for what replaced them.

Los Angeles has one of the country's deepest specialty-coffee scenes, and a good cappuccino is the fastest way to judge a shop — it's all technique, no place to hide a bad shot or a scorched pour. We re-checked every spot on this list in July 2026.

Three 2026 updates worth knowing before you drive across town: Dialog Cafe in West Hollywood flooded when a 36-inch water main ruptured on Sunset Blvd on July 16, 2026, and the owners say repairs "could take months." Nimbus Coffee's downtown Harry Potter-themed shop has closed its Hope Street location and is "moving shop" with no new address announced yet. And Bloom & Plume Coffee's Historic Filipinotown location is now listed closed. We swapped in Go Get Em Tiger, Cognoscenti Coffee, and Endorffeine in their place.

Urth Caffé

267 S Beverly Dr, Beverly Hills

$$ · cafeFull breakfast & lunch menu

Gourmet coffee with the presentation to match, in the heart of Beverly Hills. Urth pairs its cappuccinos with a genuinely good breakfast and lunch menu, so it works as a full sit-down stop rather than a quick espresso run. Expect a wait on weekends — the patio is one of the most people-watched in the city.

$$ · cafeNew to this list

One of LA's best-known independent roasters, and the Larchmont location is a neighborhood hub as much as a coffee stop. We swapped this in for Dialog Cafe, which flooded in a July 2026 West Hollywood water main break and has no reopening date. Go Get Em Tiger has multiple LA locations if Larchmont is out of your way.
